The #MeToo movement started quite late in India but as said it is good to be late than never. The movement has started a storm of rage among the women not only women are standing up and supporting each other but also coming forward and talking about the trauma that they have gone through. It is shocking to see how many big names are adding up to the list of offenders. It started with Nana Patekar then comedian Utsav Chakraborty’s name came forward, and then Vikas Bhal and Rajat Kapoor were the ones whose horrific face came forward. Now a famous writer whose books have been adapted as movies as well, Chetan Bhagat has been accused of sexual harassment.

A woman recently shared a screenshot of her chat with Chetan Bhagat where the writer is trying to woo the lady. Chetan has posted an apology on his Facebook profile proving that the screenshots are real. Chetan wanted to clear something’s about the screenshots and said that he was posting the apology after discussing it with his wife Anusha.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">And it goes on. Chetan Bhagat <a href="">@chetan_bhagat</a> <a href=""></a></p>— 🌈 Sheena (@weeny) <a href="">October 6, 2018</a></blockquote><script async src="" charset="utf-8"></script>

“But first of all, I am really sorry to the person concerned. The screenshots are of course real and I am sorry if you felt they were wrong. I hope you will accept my apology,” wrote Chetan Bhagat.

In the chat, Bhagat has written that after a long time he found a woman who could engage him and could also keep up with his pace of thought and in the Facebook post he wrote that maybe he was going through a phase.
The woman with whom Chetan shared these messages is a journalist, Bhagat met her only on professional grounds and so in no context it was right to send her something like this or even to try and woo her.

Bhagat clarified that he had not sent any obscene messages or picture to the woman and even deleted her number after this conversation.
