Team India captain Virat Kohli is one of the world’s Athletes who are very conscious of their fitness. Kohli is among the fittest athletes in the world and he has been setting fitness goals not only for the masses but also for other professional athletes as well.
Till four month ago we all knew how Kohli was fond of nonveg particularly butter Chicken. But now you would be surprised to know that this fitness freak cricketer from Delhi has given up Nonveg and has become totally a vegetarian.
Kohli turned vegetarian four months ago and this prolific run-getter is now on a new diet plan to further improve his fitness. Just to remind you that in the past Tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams, four-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton and legendary sprinter Carl Lewis are among those athletes who turned vegetarian.
According to a source, Kohli always wanted to become a vegetarian but was looking for opportunity.He had said also that if he gets a choice he would turn to veg. Now he is not only not eating meat but also distanced himself from egg and other dairy products.
The same source reveals, "Kohli started this diet four months ago and is feeling stronger as his digestive power has increased."
In a chat show 'Breakfast with Champions' last year in November, Kohli had revealed his diet and workout plan. He had gone on record saying in the show that he has not eaten butter chicken or Naan for few years.
Kohli spends two sessions and four hours in the gym during off season and at least one and a half hours every day. He used to have an omelette, three egg whites, one whole egg.
