And it’s happening, the fire cracker duo of Scorsese-Leonardo is coming together for the sixth time and we are already on the ninth moon.
History is evidence that whenever these two have collaborated, they have come up with nothing but a masterpiece – The Departed, Shutter Island and most recently The Wolf Of Wall Street. Thus, expectations are way higher than usual.
The film that they’ll be coming together will be based on David Grann's book "Killers of the Flower Moon". The script is getting penned by Eric Roth.
Scorsese commented on the film and said: "When I read David Grann's book, I immediately started seeing it -- the people, the settings, the action -- and I knew that I had to make it into a movie, I'm so excited to be working with Eric Roth and reuniting with Leonardo DiCaprio to bring this truly unsettling American story to the screen."
The film will trace the story of Osage Nation, who were the richest people per capita in the world and the time period will be the 1920’s. These people discovered oil under their land and after this, they were brutally murdered by power-hungry men.
DiCaprio is currently filming Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" where he is starring alongside Brad Pitt and Al Pacino. Scorsese is also busy shooting for his Netflix crime drama titled: ‘The Irishman’.
