After a hiatus, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Kedarnaath’ finally saw the light of the day but looks like controversies won’t end for this film as it has grabbed another one. So, the film is now facing backlash from the priest community that resides in Kedarnath. According to them, the movie promotes 'love jihad' and hurts Hindu religious sentiments.
Those who have seen the trailer would know what I am talking about; the film shows a Muslim boy falling in love with a Hindu girl in the holy town of Kedarnath.
The community is also very furious because of the intimate scenes that are in the film. The community says: ''We will launch an agitation if the movie is not banned as we have been told that it hurts the Hindu religious sentiments by promoting 'love jihad.''
BJP leader Ajendra Ajay also commented on the case and said: ''We will launch an agitation if the movie is not banned as we have been told that it hurts the Hindu religious sentiments by promoting 'love jihad.''
Kedarnath primarily focuses on the devastating floods that happened in Kedarnath in 2013. The movie is helmed by ‘Kai Po Che’ and ‘Rock On’ fame Abhishek Kapoor and it is slated to hit the screens on December 7th. While the buzz around the film was very low, we hope that this controversy might ignite some publicity for the film.
