After the MeToo storm, many of the equations in Bollywood have changed. Anirban Blah who was the Bollywood celebrity manager and co-founder of the celebrity talent agency, Kwan, had to step down from the position. Now Kwan have found new co-owner for the company and it is Salman Khan.
Salman Khan started an independent superstar's talent agency, UBT which stands for Uniworld Being Talented. As a strategic move, UBT have picked up a stake in the holding company that owns Kwan. Now Kwan is owned by UBT in Big Bang Media Ventures.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I am UBT (Uniworld Being Talented) and I shall always remain UBT.....</p>— Salman Khan (@BeingSalmanKhan) <a href="">November 9, 2018</a></blockquote><script async src="" charset="utf-8"></script>
Thus, now Salman’s agency become part owners of various other enterprises which was previously exclusively owned by Kwan's holding company such as production, distribution, restaurants and theme parks, etc. Well, Salman today took to Twitter to make it clear that his talent will always be called UBT. "I am UBT (Uniworld Being Talented) and I shall always remain UBT.....," his tweet read.
Now, this is all part of the business but what is interesting is that Kwan’s talent management company manages some of the biggest names like Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Radhika Apte.
Ranbir Kapoor was exclusively managed by Anirban Blah with Kwan for 9 good years. Now, we wonder if Salman coming into the scenario will change the ratio and if the ‘Sanju’ actor will still be part of the agency anymore!
Speaking about the development of the curret happenings, Vikram Tanwar, co-founder of UBT said, “We are excited about this partnership and look forward to creating great synergy between the two companies.”
Producer Madhu Mantena, who is also part of the founding members of Kwan added, “We are delighted with the opportunity to partner UBT and look forward to building large, sustainable and transparent entertainment services.”
