Kalinga Sena, hailing from the famous part of Odisha had threatened SRK for allegedly distorting the history of the place in his popular historical movie ‘Asoka‘ of the year 2001.
Clearly, one has no idea that why would a group of people come out of nowhere after 17 years to determine to throw ink on the face of the star who happens to have played with the history of the place.
SRK was one among the stars who was invited as a guest on the inaugural ceremony of the Men’s Hockey World Cup on 27th November. The fans were curious and afraid enough to know what could possibly happen to SRK when he visits Odisha as the news had spread far and wide that SRK is been issued threats.
Keeping in mind the respect of the nation and its image the president of the Hockey India Nation Mohammed Mushtaque Ahmad had through an email requested the Kalinga Sena activists to withdraw such an action as that would lead to a shame on our nation.
On Monday, 26th November the group held a meeting wherein they conceived the gravity of the situation and decided to withdraw their agitation against SRK for the time being.
Thanks to the President though whose words actually did save SRK from facing contempt. Such is the charm of King Khan who walked into the ceremony with style standing on a chariot and then bringing an attendance of 10,000 to hype by the famous dialogue of his iconic film ‘Chak De India’. Surely SRK can’t forget to retain his grace when it comes to his fans no matter how threatened he may be.
