Sanya Malhotra is on a roll with some amazing roles on her kitty. She has recently delivered a blockbuster ‘Badhaai Ho’ where she played the role of a posh Delhite. The movie is still running on movie-theaters even in its 6th week. Just before that Sanya played the character of a villager in ‘Pataakha’, in that as well she received a lot of critical acclaim.
Considering that ‘Photograph’ will be marked as her fourth film, she is already starring opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The movie is directed by Ritesh Batra who has earlier made ‘Lunchbox’.
So, speaking of her excitement, Sanya stated, "I started shooting for 'Photograph' right after 'Dangal' so, it's really special for me," during a media interaction at fashion designer Ritu Kumar's store launch.
On working with Nawazuddin and Ritesh Batra, the Dangal sister said, "It was my second film, though 'Patakha' (by Vishal Bhardwaj) got released after 'Dangal'. I had really good experience working with Ritesh Batra and Nawaz sir. It was a huge thing for me to work with Nawaz sir because he is my favorite actor".
The actress further shared, "Initially, I was a bit nervous working with him. But then I watched all his interviews to know how he prepares for his roles so that I could chill out working alongside.”
The Badhaai Ho actress confessed that, "When he used to come on the set, he would leave his starry vibes back at home. He was this completely transformed like totally into his character. I got to learn a lot from him".
The movie, ‘Photograph’ will be premiering at Sundance Film Festival 2019. The film festival will take place from January 24 to February 3, 2019 at Park City, Utah in the US.
