Rajkumar Rao who had a fantastic year at the box office with his films doing extremely well is all set to star in yet another horror-comedy that will be bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan.
Rao will be accompanied with Fukrey actor Varun Sharma and the shoot is going to start soon in Uttar Pradesh.
When asked to comment on the film, Vijan said: “The film will be shot in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. We will start the recce now and we are looking at rolling it next year. Rajkumar plays a small-time goon whose plans go haywire when he discovers that he might be in store for some supernatural encounters. You can be sure he will be as riveting as ladies' tailor in 'Stree' chasing after a ghost."
On being asked if the film is a sequel to Rao’s 2018 hit ‘Stree’, Dinesh said: "This is an entirely new concept and quite different from 'Stree'. The only common factor here is Rajkummar Rao. I have been fortunate to find like-minded souls... all who have helped us achieve what we have today."
Mrighdeep Lamba who helmed the Fukrey series will be co-producing the film. He is also busy scripting the third installment of Fukrey and he is also in talks for a thriller film with Excel Entertainments.
Looks like after Stree, Rajkumar Rao has become the quintessential poster boy of horror-comedy films.
