With more people living in the cities and working in high-rise buildings, don’t even get any space in cities where they can fill their lungs with fresh air. As in today’s time, cities’ air is filled with dust and pollutants. City people are becoming more addicted to their innumerable electronic devices and in between all this many of us despite experiencing nature’s beauty, we are indeed experiencing a nature deficit.
Today’s little generation only read about the forest in their books and heard about the beauty of it in stories. They remain unaware of the beauty of the forest. If you ask them about forest bathing they will see you surprisingly with wide opened eyes. And instead, they will tell you that they only know about bathroom bathing and there is no term like forest bathing.
According to research, Americans spends 93 percent of their time indoors and some ten hours a day on exploring social media- more than this then spend asleep.
Healing power of forest bathing
Many pieces of research tell us about the healing powers of the forest. Once when you enter the forest and as soon as cross through the long thick tresses, you will realize the beauty of nature. Spending time in the forest reduces stress, anxiety, depression, and anger. People who visited forest before shared that their immune system has improved also their cardiovascular and metabolic health boost up, just by spending a few days under a fresh atmosphere of the forest.
Have you noticed a fact that whenever you are near to trees and greenery without any reason you feel happy from inside? It’s long been recognized that humans have a biological need to connect with nature. Nature is considered as a mother in some religious, and if think deeply we will realize that this is actually true. We feel happy and forget all our stress when we are with our mother. Similarly, when we spend time in the forest we tend to feel free.
