Janhvi Kapoor made a smashing debut this year, with Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Dhadak’; the film fared well at the box office and was a runaway hit. Her chemistry with Ishan Khattar won praises and she became an overnight sensation.
After her debut, she bagged a role in Karan Johar’s magnum opus ‘Takht’ in which she will be sharing screen space with actors like Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal and others. After, this announcement, rumours were that Jahnvi will be seen starring in and as Gunjan Saxena in the combat pilot’s biopic. Now, a photo of her dressed in a combat pilot’s uniform is doing rounds and people are speculating if the rumour was in fact true.
Reportedly, Gunjan Saxena was India’s first female combat pilot who got posted in Kargil during the 1999 war. Gunjan had risked her life in several rescue operations to save injured soldiers of the Indian army. The brave-heart was also awarded Shaurya Vir Award and became the first woman ever to win that recognition.
This photo was taken while Janhvi, dressed in uniform, was spotted at a studio. According to an unknown source: “Janhvi will start prep in the next few days with basic flying lessons and sessions on how the Indian Air Force works and lives. She spent time with Gunjan a few months ago and will be meeting her again to understand her story better.”
If this news is true, then we are hell excited to see the story of this fearless lady on the silver celluloid.
