Actor Steve Carell who touched skies with his impeccable performance in Oscar-nominated film ‘Foxcatcher’ and classic comedy ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin’ is one man who is hated by none. When the man appeared on hit TV shows like ‘The Office’, he instantly made a home in everyone’s heart, thanks to his unmatched charm and acting prowess.

1). Steve's paternal grandfather was Italian and his dad was born with the surname Caroselli, which he changed to Carell before Steve was born.



2). Steve used to work as a mailman before he finally landed in a children's theater company to pursue his passion for acting.



3). Steve Carell worked at the Massachusetts convenient shop "Store 24”. He says that the quirky personalities that he met at the store played a big role in developing his comic instincts.



4). Before becoming a versatile actor, Steve was inclined towards law and order and wanted to become a lawyer, he says: "I was actually filling out my law school applications, And I got to the essay question, which was, 'Why do you want to be an attorney?' And I couldn't answer it. I really didn't know. And I went in and talked to my parents and they asked me, like, 'What do you enjoy doing?' 'What have you always liked to do?' And I said, 'Well, I've always liked to act. I mean, it's always been fun.' And they're the ones who said, 'Well, then do it.'"



5). Steve Carell is famous for his role in "The Office" but he wasn’t the first or even the second choice of the producer. Paul Giamatti, Hank Azaria, Bob Odenkirk, and Martin Short were all considered ahead of him.
