One of the most astonishing creatures of the reptile family is the ferocious King Cobra. The creature is known for its mighty size and venomous bite that can suck the life out of a living entity in no time.
Here are some amazing facts about the mighty “KING” that every wildlife enthusiast should know:-

1). THE KING COBRA IS THE LONGEST SNAKE IN THE WORLD.

With an average growth of around 10 to 14 feet long, this noxious snake can send chills in your body as soon as your eyes lay the first glance on it.

2). THEIR VENOM DETROIT THE NERVOUS SYSTEM.

With a single bite, a King Cobra can inject as much as 8 milliliters of venom into its trap. As soon as the venom starts spreading, the nervous system starts breaking down. Blurred vision, dizziness, and paralysis are some common after-effects of cobra venom. Their venom is so strong that it can kill a human being in just 20-30 minutes.

3). KING COBRAS GET ACTIVE DURING THE DAY.

King Cobras are diurnal, they are very active during the day time and by active, I mean LETHAL. They go out for hunts and menacing activities during this time and as the sun starts to shed, they start finding logs, tree branches, and holes to spend their night.

4). THESE SNAKES HAVE AN AVERAGE LIFE EXPECTANCY.

Just like most of the wild creatures, King Cobra’s life expectancy ranges from 15-20 years only. 22 is the oldest verified age for this group of species.

5). THEY USE SOUND TO INTIMIDATE.

King Cobras are very cunning, apart from the venomous bite; they also hold other abilities to beat their opponent. They use sound to intimidate, the king cobras use their breath to create a burst of air that creates a ‘hisss’ sound that is much scarier than a usual hiss.
