Android Pie, the 9th version of the Android OS released last year, and the users are waiting for the 10th already that is the Android Q. Well, the name has not been announced yet but as we know that they keep the names on desserts so we can just guess it for now. From a letter like Q it is a bit difficult to even think of a dessert, let’s see what Google comes up with. The android version is going to be released early this year, and we are expecting it to at least come as an update in the Android Oreo and Pie devices.
The name has not been announced but an important feature has come into the picture; Android Q will have a system-wide dark mode that means you won’t have to go into the apps to set the dark theme of a particular app, and the whole system would be dark so that would definitely extend the battery life. The users will get the option of going to the settings, and choosing between the light and the dark theme, choosing the dark mode will set all the apps to dark mode and the mess would be less. Like, at night we obviously prefer the dark mode to light mode so that our eyes are not strained and we can read easily, with this feature it would be a hell lot easy to set. This has been revealed by a Google engineer Lukasz Zbylut in the Chromium Bug Tracker post.
Dark mode is an approved Q feature […] The Q team wants to ensure that all preloaded apps support dark mode natively. In order to ship dark mode successfully, we need all UI elements to be ideally themed dark by May 2019. Most of the in-built apps of Google and some of the other popular apps had already got the dark mode option last year, and we expect more of it with the next Android version release.
