Schools with inside based nutrition rules and workings are more likely to promote healthier eating routine among students and make students to decrease the body mass index. The study showed that children in program scheduled school gives result of healthier behaviours than their peers in schools without such programmes. "Childhood obesity is a serious health problem, and schools are a source full way to reach children and their families to decrease chances of obesity and promote health"
These findings strongly support previous school policies for the program that gives healthier food for all children in public schools. Being overweight while age of childrens in life affects health across the life time, attacked by several chronic diseases such as hypertension, sugar problems, and anxiety that decreases productivity and decreased life age, researchers noted.
The nutritional programs in school included ensuring that all school-based meals met basic food limitations and terms and conditions related to the foods; providing nutritional newsletters for students and their families. It also included school-wide rally to limit sugary drinks and make people motivate for the use of water, and limiting the use of food or beverages as rewards for good performance.
Students in schools with such programs had an high rate in BMI percentile of less than two percent compared with students in schools without having any program.
