Venom is one of the most badass characters of Marvel with a good sense of humour. Last year Venom released in the month of October, and it didn’t get quite good reviews from the critics. But the audience loved it, and nothing stopped it from becoming the sixth highest-grossing film of 2018. The budget of the movie was $100–116 million, and it did a box office collection of $855.6 million. The protagonist Eddie Brock/Venom was played by the actor Tom Hardy, and the next is also going to cast the same. Kelly Marcel, one of the three screenwriters of Venom is all set to do the script of the sequel.

Spiderman 3, 2007 was the first movie in which Eddie Brock/Venom was seen. From the reports, Ruben Fleischer, the director of Venom won’t be directing the sequel as he would be busy with the sequel of his 2009 teen comedy movie Zombieland. At the end of the movie it was shown that the offspring of Venom, Carnage would be seen in the next. As Spiderman and Venom have a lot of past in the comics and the movie, so we might see them in a cross-over near-time in future.

The actor of the movie Tom Hardy had said that he wants Venom 2 to be R-Rated, while the original director of the movie, Ruben Fleischer, had said "This feels very much like Venom's movie. It's the introduction of the character. As to where it will go in future movies, and who he'll run across, I can't say. When you hear Carnage, the only thing you can think of is R. But, if you know his story, if you really know the comic, there's no R here"

The release date is not yet official but the studio has recently dated 'Untitled Sony/Marvel Sequel' for October 2, 2020.
