Hong Kong is one of the most exciting tourist places in the world, the city offers a natural balance between ancient and modern art. The blistering colours of pop-culture wrap up the city like anything. Landing in Hong Kong is like landing in a dream.
The place has some exquisite temples and museums that’ll be able to calm down your spiritual side and on the other end of the spectrum, it also provides places like ‘Disneyland’ and other glitzy pubs that will help you soak in the colours of joy.
But, apart from this, there is another side to this exuberant city that is locked behind the doors of skyscrapers and high-rise towers and to present that a photographer went beyond the set limits. The man who goes by the name Dietrich Herlan is a Brazilian photographer, he came up with a series ‘Urban Density’ that shows the true side of living in Hong Kong.
He says: “Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated places in the world. These colorful and symmetrical geometric apartments are extremely crowded places and it is hard to imagine how people actually live there. In these 'Urban Density' series, I explore the urban landscape of Hong Kong And Macau. Like Hong Kong, Macau is a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China, and crowded apartments similar to Hong Kong can be found.”
Here are some of the best photos from the series:-
