1). The giraffe is the tallest mammal in the world, with an average height at around 4-5m high, and the tallest giraffes ever recorded have been up to 5.9m. And because of this gigantic height, these mammals also have a massive weight that can go up to 2000Kg. Interestingly, giraffes have the same amount of bones in their neck as a human neck has.
2). Giraffes get most of their water for the body via plants and leaves; sometimes when they do drink water, they are needed to spread their legs so that their neck can reach the water source.
3). Giraffes are considered to be a part of the Giraffidae family, which contains only one other species: The Rare okapi.
4). Giraffes do not walk like a normal mammal, because of unimaginable long legs, giraffes are needed to swing sideways to make the walk happen. Both the legs are made to swing on the same side and this process is known as ‘pacing’.
5). The female giraffes give birth to the young ones whilst standing straight on a ground. The young lad faces a bump on the ground but possesses the ability to stand straight on the ground within few hours of the birth.
