Kane has been out of the picture for some time now, as he is focusing more on being the Mayor of Knox Country since 2018. But the Big Red Machine has not yet retired from the WWE ring. On January 12, a live event from Knoxville was going on, and Kane appeared out of his character as the real Glenn Jacobs. The WWE wrestler has always been seen with a mask on, in the WWE ring, and this was a really different experience for the people in the arena that he came in his real life look. Kane (aka @glennjacobstn) tweeted “My proudest moment in a @WWE ring.”

WWE donated a total of $100k to the Knoxville Public Safety Foundation, the donation was due to Kane’s return to WWE TV for Crown Jewel, and last year’s Super Show-Down in Australia. The official Instagram of WWE @wwe did a post captioning,
“Kane (aka @glennjacobstn) surprised #WWEKnoxville with a special appearance, and The Knoxville Public Safety Foundation a check for $100,000!”

In a show, Talk Is Jericho, when Kane was asked if he would be seen back in the ring after getting elected as the Mayor he had said, "No, I can't. Mayor is a full-time job and I would direct all my attention to that.” This clearly means that he would be hanging up his boots till he is running as the Mayor of Knox Country. And as he has not retired, so the fans have still their hopes high for him being seen in the WWE ring. On the 27th of January, 2019 the Royal Rumble is coming up, and we are expecting that Kane does an appearance with the participants John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Samoa Joe, Fill Balor and more of the WWE champions.
