We finally know when are witnessing the beginning of the end of Game of Thrones final season which is April 14th, 2019. HBO disclosed the premiere date for the final season of the fantasy epic to the amusement of all the fans and we can’t help but freak out like lunatics.

The teaser projects an intriguing and also an awaiting convergence for the eighth and final season, opening with the Stark siblings returning home to reunite in their family crypt at Winterfell where they’re seen hearing ghostly council from Ned and Catelyn Stark and other deceased family members.

While they make their solemn walk, the voices of the deceased Starks from former seasons can be heard speaking, Lyanna Stark says, “You have to protect him,” Catelyn Stark says, “All this horror has come to my family, it’s all because I couldn’t love a motherless child,” and Ned Stark says, “You are a Stark. You might not have my name, but you have my blood.” The spine-chilling drama takes place when a feather started freezing that surely indicates that Winter has made its way to destruct Westeros. It dropped down some major clues and suspense for us to keep us on our toes.

Last fall, HBO announced that the show would return in April for a six-episode final season and earlier this year. We got a very brief teaser for the final season, during the 2019 Golden Globes, and the chief of HBO Richard Plepler recently told Variety that the upcoming season has “exceeded the bar,” and said that the upcoming season looks more like “six movies.”

The final season isn’t really the last that we’ll get to witness of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy land Westeros, however. HBO has already begun working on several descendants, and according to sources also ordered a pilot for one of them named The Long Night, a prequel series set “thousands of years” prior to the current drama. The series recently cast several actors for the series and declared that S.J. Clarkson will direct the pilot.
