Rahul Dravid who has played for Team India for 16 long years is considered one of the best batsmen ever. No matter how many records he has, or the way he played he was never seen being arrogant about it. If cricket is a gentleman’s game then Rahul Dravid is that gentleman. We do not see such gentleman in today’s generation, he showed us how to give a reply to the opposition with the work (his batting) instead of getting into a fight with them and using foul language.

Patience, dedication, hard work, decency, and class, these are all seen in the batsman’s character. The aggression could be seen in his eyes, and the way he batted showed it. He Is just the perfect candidate for a role model, as he is an inspiration in the game as well as in real life. When he was asked how has he built an image like that he said, “I am what I am. I have not deliberately built an image for myself. You get an image in the first couple of years of your career, and then whether you like it or not, you are stuck with it for the rest of your life.”

Known by the name The Wall for his solid defense which made even the fastest bowlers lose their temper. When it comes to chasing the dreams, the middle-order batsman thinks “No dream is ever chased alone”. He has also said that, “I have the kind of personality that I always look ahead than look at what's happened. It does help a lot, especially when you've done badly or you've failed. It's instinctive of me that I look at what's next, I look ahead a lot, and start preparing for that, in victory and in defeat.”
