We all have gone through a terrible phase of a hangover after some party. And every time it has been a horrible experience. Whilst you can’t put up your head and still feel throwing up in the morning, you see your friend being all set to leave for office. It’s a fact that some people never get a hangover, no matter how much alcohol they have consumed all night. We all so desire to be them. While that is far from reality, here we disclose you the fact why that happens.

When you consume alcohol, its broken by your liver enzymes into acetaldehyde, a toxin that your body can’t take for long and that needs to get rid of quickly. Those liver enzymes that break down the alcohol are more effective in some people than others. Therefore for people who get hangovers really often, which means most of us, these enzymes are not that often.

Genes have also a major role to play here. Their body is able to dissolve and get rid of the by-products of alcohol easily - metabolically and genetically. Thus, it happens to affect them less in the next morning.
Research conducted in 2014 on 4,000 people from Australia’s Twin Registry came out with the fact that genetic factors account for 45 percent difference in hangover frequency in women and 40 percent in men.

Alcohol is something diuretic (that which makes you pee). So, dehydration also got a major role in a hangover. This happens because while drinking, we mostly forget to rehydrate ourselves. That is why experts recommend having as much water as possible when you drink alcohol. It follows like one glass of water for every glass of alcohol.
So the simple gist is, you shouldn’t ever overdrink just for fun as a severe hangover might lead to several issues. Although, if you ’re experiencing a hangover, don’t forget to keep yourself hydrated and of course, don’t sleep empty stomach.
