Indians who had watched the movie Aashiqui 2 (2013) could not stop comparing it with A Star Is Born. Yes, most of the Indians who were watching the 2018 movie were seeing the similarities between the two and had even posted on their social media accounts about it. But is it the truth? Is A Star Is Born inspired by Aashiqui 2? Actually, it is not. Then what about the complete resemblance of the scenes, right? Well, A Star Is Born is based on A Star Is Born itself, and even Aashiqui 2 is based on the movie A Star Is Born. Confused?

Yeah, that is what we wanted to do with the previous line. Now let us clear it for you; both of the movies are based on A Star Is Born (1937), a movie that came around 80 years ago. More of the remakes of A Star Is Born had come, one in the year 1954 and another in 1976. So there have been a lot of movies that have been inspired by the original movie of the year 1937, and now you know clearly how things are. The original movie was a blockbuster of that time, and that made the directors come up with the movies based on it.

A Star Is Born (2018) featuring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga got appreciated a lot, of course, if it is a remake of the very popular movie with such cast it would obviously be a hit. Even Aashiqui 2, the movie with the amazing songs in it had made the audience love it. So it is all the magic of the original and we do not need to compare the two. They are based on the same movie so of course, there would be similarities, but the feel of watching both the movies is different. Do watch both of it, maybe even the 1937 one and let us know which one did you like better!
