Most of want our place to look clean and tidy because it not only pictures you as a responsible person but also it is something you should be doing considering hygiene a thing. An important one. And guess what there is an app that can help you tidy up your space. The app named “Get Rid of It” can help you purge at a slower, but still productive pace.
The app encourages you to get rid of things that “are not adding value to your life,” or in other words have been lying there for a while and don't spark joy. Instead of dumping a bunch of things at once; however, it encourages you to work yourself up to a solid decluttering.
On day one of using the app, you’re tasked with getting rid of just one thing. On day two, you bump that up to two things a day. That number keeps growing by one item a day until you reach 30.
As you get rid of each item, you’re encouraged to snap a picture to both remember the item and to track your progress. You also have the option to leave a note about how much that Blues Traveler CD or lava lamp meant to you in the 90s.
Presuming your month is a success, then you can start the process over again the next month, focusing on another area. The idea being that maybe month one is your home office, while month two tackles your bedroom (or wherever else needs a good decluttering).
The end result will be a tidier, fresh and more minimalist vicinity, but you won’t have to get rid of everything at once to get there.
