Amidst all the tension and chaos, Punjab police’s kind gesture has proved that no matter what humanity shall always prevail. So, as we know that the Indo-Pak relationship is going through a lot of stress these days, many attacks and counter-attacks have been happening. Flowing in the stream of retaliation, Pakistan authorities recently suspended the Samjhauta Express, which is the only train route to commute between India and Pakistan.
After the suspension, many Pakistani citizens found themselves stranded and wrecked. They were feeling a bit helpless when Punjab police authorities stepped ahead and distributed food to the Pakistani nationals and eventually set an example for others.
If reports are anything to go by, around 50-60 Pakistanis were stranded in India at Attari railway station and were anxiously waiting for the train services to resume. After the distribution of food, Punjab police also made arrangements for the Pak citizens to cross the Attari-Wagah check-post without any hassle.
This act by Punjab police has been getting unanimous praise from all the quarters of the world. People are appreciating the fact that the Punjab authorities did not mind to help the needy, in these tensed situations. The people who were stranded also praised and thanked the police personnel for their sheer professionalism and courteous behavior.
