Recently, PM Narendra Modi drew flak for his apparently insensitive comments about dyslexic people, which he made while addressing college students during the Smart India Hackathon 2019.

During his interaction when a student was talking about her idea of helping students with dyslexia this is when Modi interrupted her to ask if it would benefit people between 40 and 50.

We definitely need to know that Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty in learning, reading and writing. By making a jibe at Rahul Gandhi Was he making fun of Dyslexia people or showing his lack of information regarding the same because it is definitely not related with the intelligence or either with the lack of creativity.

Because a person with dyslexia struggles in reading and writing very slowly. Further, he may confuse the letters in a word. They may also find a problem in understanding the written text and may have poor or inconsistent spelling.

But these people are very good creative thinkers and problem solvers. So by mocking at Rahul Gandhi, you are definitely showing your lack of understanding about Dyslexia. Isn't it?

I guess we need to make ourselves aware of the struggles of people who had fought hard despite the difficulty. So, I would like to throw light on some of those inspiring names.
Tom Cruise, a successful American actor and producer could barely read in his high schools and the rest is the history. Steve Jobs, chairman, chief executive officer, and co-founder of Apple Inc. too struggled in his school but what he did no one needs an introduction about that.

The list is a long one….
Jim Carrey
Richard Branson
Abhishek Bachchan
And many more...

Before making any comment you definitely need to think twice. After all, you are the PM. Don’t you?
