As an avid movie buff, ‘Shawshank Redemption’ holds a special place in my heart because, honestly, it is not just a movie but an emotion altogether. The Frank Darabont directorial has been giving us some major life lessons since 1994 and we just cannot thank the makers enough for this masterful piece of art.
Here are some famous quotes from the film that are proof that ‘Shawshank Redemption’ will always be one of the best films ever made:-

1). “I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend.”

2). “They say it has no memory. That's where I want to live the rest of my life. A warm place with no memory.”

3). “I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy living or get busy dying.”

4). “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”

5). “I find I’m so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it’s the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain.”
