According to research, India is the most depressed country in the world (a World Health Organization study concluded that at least 6.5% of the population suffer from severe mental illness). The disgrace surrounding mental health does not make it easier for people to seek help. However, more and more people do not feel comfortable talking about it publicly; even Bollywood celebs have also gone through it.

One positive sign we have seen is that Indian women realize the need for intervention when the people they know show signs of mental illness. In fact, one of the most common questions is how to help depressed Women. They want to understand mental illness in a better way so that they can express compassion for their loved ones. Therefore, we have compiled a list of all the ways we can help friends with signs of depression. Remember, love, acceptance, and compassion have a long way to go, but at the same time you may need professional help.

1. Make Them Accept It!

Don't try to let them know about their situation and let them understand and accept it. This requires two things - asking and listening. Ask them about their recent feelings, which makes them feel sad and why they think this is happening. Listen patiently and don't bother them. Let them feel your presence and understand that they won't fight alone you are with them.

2. Understand Their Mentality!

Your behavior may be intentional, but if you force them to "crash" or "not so weak" then you may react oppositely. Try to understand their mentality, if they just use some wisdom to help themselves, they will recover. No matter how stubborn they are, don't be too strong. I know that you are worried, but please be patient.

3. Help Them To Stay Active!

It is important for your friend to stay active. Take them for a morning walk every day, fresh air and nature will calm their mind. You can also enroll both of you in a dance class, but don’t force them instead encourage them with positive words.
