The 4-match women's IPL has begun at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium yesterday. It is an extension of the one-off match which was played last year and hopefully will serve as the foundation for a full-fledged tournament in future.

However, the recognition and status received by the women IPL item remain a question. Yes a mini IPL tournament is organized this year for hovering the popularity of women players and women cricket but the fact that the tickets are sold free isn’t it says all? Will not it results in a negative impression about the women cricket?

Have a look at these differences which highlights the under-recognition of women in cricket.

Truly no market exists for the women

Hopefully it is just the beginning of a full-fledged tournament in future?

Isn’t it too unfair?

Will women get the respect they deserve?

No news about the match was available on the internet..

It says a lot...

Women are ready but are everyone ready? Are efforts being put to publicize about it because if such events are not promoted tournaments will come and go and no one will take interest in it? So are you going to watch the match to give them the respect they deserve?
