On Sunday, 12th May, Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings in the final match of the IPL. In the final, Chennai’s opener Shane Watson scored 80 runs before he was run out in the last over.
Now, after the match Chennai off-spinner Harbhajan Singh revealed that Watson was bleeding from his knee while he was batting. But, he did not give up. He batted till the end. After the match was over Watson got six stitches.
Watson hit eight fours and four sixes in 59 balls. While batting, he dived to avoid getting a runout. And, because if this, he was injured. Watson was out in the last over. His team lost the match with only one run. While praising Shane Watson, Harbhajan shared a picture of Watson on his Instagram Story.
In it, he wrote, “Do you see blood on his knees, after the game he got six stitches. He got injured while diving. But, continued to bat telling no one.”
Harbhajan said, “The finals were full paisa vasool. But it was a heart-breaking match for us. After stopping Mumbai for 149. The batsmen started well, but we lost the wickets falling at regular intervals. I still do not believe what happened to us, we were close to winning. But, we accept that Mumbai is the winner. ”
There was a dispute regarding Dhoni’s run out decision. It was tough. Harbhajan Singh said, “Our team wanted that Dhoni’s run out decision should be on our side. He was seen out in an angle and then not out in the second, it was a tough decision. In such a situation decisions go in favor batsman favor. ”
