Arthritis has become one of the common and daunting health issues. Now you can find teenage children, young people apart from old aged people, this disease has attacked all of them. Arthritis is commonly known as the joint inflammation of one or more than one joints. It is not a single disease, instead, arthritis in itself has 100+ types. Symptoms of the disease include, pain, swelling, stiffness in bones and body, and reduce the range of motion that makes performing certain tasks difficult and these symptoms can intensify with age.
If you suspect that you are suffering from the disease or any family member is affected by arthritis, you need to take care of yourself, so much, especially on- what you are eating and drinking. So, there is a list of certain food items that can affect you so much.
“When you have rheumatoid arthritis, you may want to limit the amount of sodium that you eat. This is because corticosteroids that are often used to treat this type of arthritis can cause you to hold onto more salt,” says Amy Gorin, MS, RDN, owner of Amy Gorin Nutrition in the New York City area.
“And regularly taking in large amounts of sodium can increase inflammation in your body. If you have rheumatoid arthritis, you may want to consider limiting your daily sodium intake to 1,500 milligrams.”
Polyunsaturated Cooking Oil
“These oils are commonly used in restaurants and at home and are high in omega-6 fatty acids, but very low in omega 3s,” Shapiro says. “This imbalance can lead to inflammation, and since most individuals do not get enough omega-3s (from sources such as salmon, flax, walnuts, and chia) to balance out these oils, arthritic symptoms can worsen.”
“Although sugar can be harmful for many reasons, it creates inflammation in the body, and sugar-sweetened soda, in particular, has been found to increase arthritis symptoms in women.” And, “a large study found that just one sugary soda a day increased the risk for rheumatoid arthritis by 63 percent. This was compared to people who never drank soda and those who had it less than once a month,” says Maggie Moon, MS, RD, author of The MIND Diet.
Drinking two cups of coffee is good for your body, but if you thinking to have more cups, this may give birth to problematic situations. Try to avoid excessive caffeine intake. For an adult, can consume 400 milligrams of caffeine in a day, but drinking more than this may give you so much pain.
