It was decades ago when “Kapoor's’ or “khans” or “Bhatts” used to rule the Bollywood. The present age is about all the actors who have successfully made to Bollywood on its own. These ‘outsiders’ as they are called have had a struggling phase different from those who belong to the film family. Here are some of the new- age Bollywood actors who had struggling days initially.
1. Tapsee Pannu:
Before cementing her space in Bollywood Tapsee started her career from the south Indian film industry. Talking about her struggling period in Mumbai she reveals that being an outsider has brought her strength as she can bring the real elements in her performance. However, she shares that her struggle of early days was about getting an apartment in Mumbai as nobody was willing to give a single actor an apartment to rent.
2. Kartik Aryan:
The charming actor who debuted with Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011 also had struggling days when he came to Mumbai. The actor shared a two-bedroom apartment with 12 other struggling actors. Although he said they were like a happy family and used to pile up at each other. Also because he did not have any contacts in the industry he used to literally type keywords like “actors required and casting calls on Facebook and Google and then go from New Bombay to Bombay to stay close with the industry”.
3. Kriti Sanon:
The actress who has been directed by some of the best filmmakers shares that she had to face some peculiar criticism before her acting phase. She received remarks like ‘something was wrong with her. The actresses say being from the industry has certainly some advantages over the outsider.
4. Sushant Singh Rajput:
Taking the big risk to leave his engineering career Sushant stepped into the industry as a TV star. Recalling his struggling phase he says he had to share a one-room-kitchen apartment with six other roommates. He used to throng among the extras for a small role.
5. Ayushmann Khurrana:
The talented actor and singer Ayushmann is known for his power-packed performances. Talking about the struggling days the actor revealed that he used to sing in the express train ‘Pashchim Express’ during his college days.
