How faster you learn usually depends upon your IQ but that doesn’t mean that you cannot eliminate some bad habits to increase your learning capability.1. The Fundamental principles - Elon Musk is known as the greatest learner of our century and this is evident through the multi-domain startups that he owns, starting from the computer, automotive, aerospace, solar energy, brain internet and even AI. So, what is his secret - He likes to reconstruct everything from the start, he begins at the fundamentals and build up his knowledge. This creates a story for which you need to know the ending so you get more excited to learn new things also instead of building upon others ideas, you can create your own ideas.
2. The 80/20 Rule - There is a pattern to the universe, a pattern that mathematicians look for, it is the 80 /20 rule. You see, only 20% of your work will get you 80% of the results. 20% of selected learning can get you 80% of the marks. All you need to do is find that 20% and for that you need to pay attention and do some research on what topics to read and set a path rather than blindly jumping and doing “The ‘Hard’-work”.
3. Reading Speed - Your learning speed depends upon your reading speed when it comes to books. So, there are ways to increase your reading speed without affecting your comprehension and understanding.
4. The Flow - I haven’t ever tested this but I know people who have and shown really good results. Have you ever noticed that when you are doing something you really love, you don’t notice the time passing? This is common when you are gaming, binge watching a serial or even hanging out with old buddies. “The flow is the art of going into a zone of intense focus that you don’t even realize the time passing”.Einstein once wrote a letter to his son where he states that you can learn faster if you do something that you really love that you don’t even notice time passing. Now, it is not always that in the initial stages you would love what you learn, so there are some techniques to get in the flow -I) Pre-read - Before starting a book, go through its topics also read through contents from each chapter to get some excitement (Important - this only works on non-fiction or else you might get spoilers).II) Research - Do some basic research on the application of what you are learning to create some excitement.
