The star of Bollywood Varun Dhawan is famous for his back to back hit movies in Bollywood. After the success of his last film, October, the actor is busy working on his fitness.
He is working on his fitness for his upcoming period drama Kalank, directed by Abhishek Varman. The director of the film is quite focused on Varun Dhawan and knowing about his fitness routines, he has set a proper gym for the actor.
The actor is a fitness freak and he has often shared in interviews that his role model for fitness is Dwane Johnson, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger since teenage. Varun Dhawan has is also vocal about his fitness routines and he has said that swimming has played a major part in maintaining his fitness.
In an interview, Varun Dhawan revealed his secret about fitness and said, “I still swim regularly, even if it’s for 15 minutes. I also play cricket and squash to improve my agility. I have come to realize that filling your day with various activities keeps your weight in place. I rely on the Nike Fuel Band that tracks how much, how often, and how intensely you move. If you need abs, workouts are necessary because any sport cuts down the fat. Sports are great for the mind too and keep it active.”
He is getting training under the fitness expert, Sawant who has trained Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgan. His workout routine includes 90 minutes of a workout for five days a week.
His mantra for fitness is his diet. Varun Dhawan diet includes carbs, lotus seeds, papayas, protein smoothies, and bananas. One thing about him that makes him fit is because he stays away from oily food items, high-salt, and high-sugar. During the day he eats small meals every two to three hours. He also focuses on keeping himself hydrated throughout the day as he drinks five to six litres of water every day.
Varun Dhawan's upcoming movie Kalank is set to release on 19 April 2019.
