Right now Bollywood is obsessed with Biopics and one thing other than Biopics that is catching the eye of Bollywood is Book-to-screen adaptations. Bollywood has given life to some famous books by adapting them into movie. And why wouldn’t they? Everyone would like to see these great stories on screen. There are some books that already have a huge fan following which is a great advantage for the Bollywood filmmakers. All they need to take care of is that the characters are moulded in a right way and the story looks good on the screen because these books already are there is the heart of the audience.

The Zoya Factor
Written by Anuja Chauhan, it was a bestseller in 2008. This story revolves around an advertising professional who gets a chance to meet Indian cricket team and then he becomes a lucky charm for the team in 2010 world cup. Dulquer Salman and Sonam Kapoor will be seen in the leading roles. This movie is set to release on April 5, 2019.
Bioscopewala
Danny Denzongpa has adapted a short story written by Rabindranath Tagore called the Kabuliwala to make a movie named Bioscopewala. This story is about a woman who meets her late father’s friend, who used to be an operator of the bioscope show. The movie is already in the cinemas and if you are a fan of classic tale then you must go and watch it.
Thugs of Hindostan
Thugs of Hindostan is based on another classic novel of 1839 called Confessions of a Thug by Philip Meadow Taylor. The two legends of Bollywood – Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in this movie. Also it features Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Ronit Roy. This film is set to release near Diwali.
The Accidental Prime Minister
This movie is an adaption of the book with the same name. The writer of this book is Sanjay Baru. With Anupam Kher in the lead role, it is based on the India’s former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s time in office. The movie will be released on December 21, 2018.
Remake of The Fault in Our Stars
The title of this movie is yet not revealed but Fox Star Studios announced the remake of The Fault in Our Stars earlier this year. Earlier we have heard the names of a lot of actors who were believed to be doing this movie but now the recent announcements says that Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi will be seen in the lead roles. This story is about Hazel Grace, a cancer patient who tries to find love in her short life. This book was a bestselling novel in 2014.
