India is a country where more than half of the population is a movie buff. Cinema has a big influence in all of our life. We cry when our hero gets beaten up by the villain, we sing with our heroine, we become a part of their love story; we feel love, pain and everything through cinema. Bollywood has been a part of our life for a long time. Bollywood has given us all kinds of movies. It gave us some great movies, so terrible ones and some that became a part of our life.
Some movies gave us characters that stayed with us and formed a deep connection. These iconic characters make a movie unforgettable. Though the movie mainly focuses on the lead character but there are other gems that sometimes overshadow the lead with their acting skills. Here are some of those supporting characters that stole the show and made a space for themselves in our heart.
Rishi Kapoor in Kapoor and Sons
I don’t think anyone will disagree to it, Rishi Kapoor was the cutest dadu ever seen onscreen. He was adorable and outshone everyone with his cute smile and fun loving attitude.
Richa Chadha in Gangs of Wasseypur 1
Though most of the audience was very busy seeing the men in the movie but for me, it was Richa as Nazma who stole the spotlight with her bad ass attitude and her dirty mouth.
Jim Sarbh in Neerja
Neerja was about Sonam Kapoor but Jim Sarbh was the one who made me stick to the movie throughout. He owned every scene he was a part of.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Badlapur
Though Varun Dhawan was the lead in Badlapur but Nawazuddin Siddiqui clearly made the movie all about him. He made the movie better.
Presh Rawal in Hera Pheri
I don’t think Hera Pheri will be the movie it is without Paresh Rawal. Though it has Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty but Babu bhaiya is the true charm of the movie.
Priyanka Chopra in Bajirao Mastani
Priyanka nailed the character of Kashi in Bajirao Mastani. Her chemistry with Ranveer was too hot to handle.
Swara Bhaskra in Raanjhana
Sonam Kapoor was the leading lady in Raanajhana but Swara took our hearts away with the character of Bindiya.
Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar in Welcome
They made us laugh and enjoy the movie even more. Also, they accompany each other perfectly.
