In 2015 an indie movie introduced us to Vicky Kaushal and we couldn’t be more grateful. Vicky Kaushal is stealing hearts with his beyond words smile and his diverse performance in every movie. Every movie he picks, no matter how small or big the role is he doesn’t stop surprising us. Honestly I have fell in love with this man and I know it’s not just me, there are millions like me.
We can’t ever run short of reasons to love him. From Masaan’s Deepak to Sanju’s kamli, Vicky has played every role with such conviction and made us fall in love with every character he played. In just a short span of two years he has managed to surprise us with his versatility. So here is a look at the characters he played till now.
Deepak in Masaan
There was a raw intensity in Deepak’s character who fell in love for the first time and lost his love very soon. Vicky portrayed that pain and that love with such conviction that made the audience relate to all those feelings.
Dilsher in Zubaan
This movie didn’t gain much attention in India but was the first Bollywood movie to open the 20th edition of Bhusan International Film Festival. The director of the movie took home the award but it was Vicky’s smile as a Punjabi rockstar that made a home in our hearts.
Raman in Raman Raghav 2.0
This was bold choice made by Vicky and he did full justice to the role of a drug addict cop who was in a fight with his inner demons. And with this movie he proved that he could play any role with ease and perfection.
Sanjay in Love per Square Foot
Vicky was so perfect and charming in this first hindi special introduced by Netflix. A guy who was under parental pressure to earn money, dealing with a bad affair and then falling in love. He was one among us in this movie and perfectly showed the difficulties of adulting.
Iqbal Syed in Raazi
Okay, listen I couldn’t ever imagine Vicky with Alia Bhatt. Not right now! But oh my god they looked so perfect together on screen. He was a young handsome officer and a loving handsome at the same time. He is really a master at playing nuanced characters that are emotionally invested.
Paras in Lust Stories
One time he was playing a perfect husband and the next time he is playing an average husband. Is there anything this man can’t do? Vicky is the finest actor we have and is focused on giving us some relatable characters.
Kamlesh "Kamli" Kanhaiyalal Kapasi in Sanju
Sanju is a great movie and Ranbir kapoor has done a great job in it. But Kamlesh aka Vicky is the soul of this movie. He played a short role in the movie but he was so good that we were waiting to see him again and again.
Vicky is just so natural with his characters that it is really hard to take out the characters he played out of our mind. He is actually a delight to watch and we can’t wait to see him in Manmarziyaan where again he is playing a very different role.
