Recently the trailer of Milap Zaveri's 'Satyamev Jayate' starring Johan Abraham, Manoj Bajpayee, and Aisha Sharma was released. The audience appreciated the trailer a lot and it is gaining a lot of popularity. But soon after the trailer was released it landed in trouble.
The movie has landed in a controversy because of a particular scene. Syed Ali Jaffry, a BJP leader has filed a complaint against the movie in Hyderabad for hurting the religious sentiments of the Shia community.
In this complaint filed against the movie in Hyderabad, the community has demanded to take strict action against the makers. The scene which is creating so much drama shows John committing a murder following Mattam. The leader has accused the makers of hurting the sentiments of the community directly or indirectly.
They approached the SHO on 28th June right after the trailer got release and filed a complaint. Later they also approached the state Central Board of Film Certification who assured them that their complaint will be forwarded to the CBFC's head office.
The group demanded to take strict action against the makers of the movie under Cinematograph Act and Section 295A of the IPC. They also said that they will protest against the film if their demands are not met.
The makers of the movie have not made any official comment on this situation. It was too soon for the movie to land into legal trouble. Only the trailer has been released as of now and the movie is already facing so much protest. Hope it goes all well for the makers and the cast.
