Sanju being one of the most awaited of this year and after the movie has released finally last Friday, the hysteria around the movie has lost all boundaries. Running very successfully in the box office, the fans of Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani, all are loving the audience’s and critic’s reactions.
Though in most cases critics have given a green light to the film and have given positive reviews for the movie but a minor group of critics have been giving negative reaction. The movie is already breaking multiple records in less than a week, and the rave reviews continues to pour in but some of the criticism is getting a bit too harsh.
Some of the critics are out in the social media bragging about how ‘Sanju’ is a propaganda film and how the movie shows a soft portrayal of Sanjay Dutt’s life. For those, Ranbir Kappor have replied that this is ‘an absolute honest portrayal of a man.’
The Sanju actor further mentioned in an interview with The Indian Express that “Sanju Sir has been brave enough to give his life in a way that he's a fallen hero and shown the grey side of him. The whole drug phase and where it takes you in life. There's a great learning in that.”
He then talks in lengths about mistakes of his life: “His mistake with the AK 56 gun and the underworld and everything that happened in his life. I don't think Rajkumar Hirani needs to make a propaganda film for him. He saw an honest and great human story in it. That's why he took it up.”
Critics, both positive and negative, have to say one thing in common which is Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Sanjay Dutt is impeccable. He looks, talks and portrays Sanjay Dutt damn close to himself which is staggering.
