Ranbir impressed everyone with his performance in Sanju. We loved him and with this movie, he proved that he can play any character. The entire nation is either busy watching the movie or either busy in praising Ranbir’s performance. Even critics are praising his wonderful performance.

But one person who is most impressed by Ranbir after watching Sanju is his father. Yes, Rishi Kapoor is very impressed with Ranbir. It is very difficult to impress Rishi Ji and it is more difficult to get some praise out of him. Rishi Kapoor hardly praised Ranbir before and so him doing it this time is a very big deal.

Rishi Kapoor while talking to a leading Daily said:
“I was pleasantly surprised by Ranbir’s performance as Sanjay Dutt. It was subtle, sincere and so accurate. I salute Rajkumar Hirani, who is one of my favourite filmmakers. When Munnabhai MBBS released, I was one of the first to go to his home in Bandra East to compliment him. From that time on, I’ve always been a huge fan of the man. Besides Ranbir, I was impressed with Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal. I was actually looking to speak to Vicky, but I am told he is in Serbia.”

Before Sanju, many of Ranbir’s movies didn’t work and he received some flack for it as well. When asked about this, Rishi Kapoor said:
“Let me be honest, on a few occasions, even I used to think that perhaps my son had got it all wrong. But I have never voiced my views because Ranbir and I have a pact. I have never interfered in his career, I never will.”

Talking about the success of Sanju, proud father said:
“Even 20 days before Sanju released, there were a few naysayers who did raise doubts on whether it would work and if Ranbir would be able to pull off his act as Sanjay, who is a larger-than-life-superstar. However, now that the film is here and things have worked out, I’m happy. The box office is the ultimate validation.”
Ranbir really played the controversial character of Sanjay Dutt in the most unconventional manner and the movie turned out to be a big hit. Well, it’s all his hard work.
