Bollywood’s powerhouse, Ranveer Singh rode on the nostalgic wave as his critically acclaimed film – ‘Lootera’ completes 5 years. Ranveer was paired opposite Sonakshi Sinha and was supported by Vikrant Massey. The film was directed by supremely talented Udaan fame – Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Phantom Films.
The film was set in a post-independence era and narrated the story of a con-man who falls in love with the daughter of a zamindar. How circumstances play a pivotal role in tangling up their lives and how they rediscover themselves, is what the crux of the story was.
The film was lauded for its smooth direction, poetry in motion sort of filming, great performances and alluring cinematography.
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Padmavat’ star took a ride down the memory lane.
He shared a video and wrote, "Celebrating 5 years of this little gem #VikramadityaMotwane @aslisona #5YearsOfLootera."
Ranveer was relatively new in the industry when he chose this project and hands down, it is his best performance till date (Yes, not even Allaudin can beat this performance). His character needed to show a certain type of calm and he excelled in doing that.
He made his debut with ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ and has some interesting future projects like ‘Gully Boy’, ‘!983 World Cup’ and ‘Simbaa’.
