After a lot of hiccups while making the film, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is finally back on track. The movie is being directed by Shree Narayan Singh who also directed one of last year’s big hit ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ with Akshay Kumar.
The movie, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, started its shoot on February this year in Uttarakhand. Recently the crew and actors finished their schedule for one of the songs in the movie. The song’s title is ‘Hard Hard’, yes, we are not kidding!
After ‘Haider’ we will watch this pair once again on-screen. Their pairing in the Vishal Bhardwaj movie ‘Haider’ was appreciated because of the on-screen camaraderie they shared. It will be great to see them together again in yet about humourous movie.
‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is a movie which will deal with the issue privatization of electricity but on a humourous note. In an interview, the actor revealed, “I connected with it and I understood that it is a very relevant real issue. Electricity is and you know the lack of electricity in many parts of our country and the kind of bills some people get since it has got privatised it is a talking point for the entire country.”
When asked about the movie, Shahid exclaimed “It is so relevant. In Mumbai, there are no electricity cuts but you go beyond, people have to live with it.”
The actor further says that “It is a big issue and when somebody finds a script that’s a film and not a documentary that is entertaining but is talking about an issue and is taking it up, I think everybody will be very curious to know about it. I also discuss it, this month’s bill is so high, AC was on the entire month, the geyser is really big or what, oh this is because of the new fridge.”
Shahid Kapoor has been posting the pictures of the shooting in his Instagram feel captioning them ‘Mood’. The song shot with Shraddha in Mumbai is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. It will probably bring out both Shahid and Shraddha’s goofy side and we can’t wait no more.
