It has been a decade since Ruben Fleischer’s rib-tickling horror comedy Zombieland hit the silver screen. Fans were eagerly waiting for its sequel and it is finally happening. The original cast with the director is set to return and go on another thrilling mission. The filming is expected to start in January and the film will finally hit the theatres in October 2019.
Emma Watson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin are confirmed for the film’s sequel and reportedly they will be taken from the White House to the American heartland as they face off against new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors.
The film’s sequel was in talks for a long time now, the film’s makers revealed that they wanted to make the sequel of the much-loved film but the things couldn’t go on floors because of unavoidable reasons. In the mean time, the writers of the original film Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick went on to write Deadpool and Deadpool 2 while director Ruben Fleischer helmed the soon-to-be-released Venom. The film’s television adaptation was planned by Sony pictures but the things did not work, even Amazon planned the same and released the pilot episode too but things couldn’t go beyond that but now that it is confirmed that the zombie hunters are returning, we just cannot hold our excitement.
The original film was filled with equal amount of scares and laughs and this is what made the film a hot favorite among the cinephiles, the makers have assured that the sequel would be double the fun for sure.
