Kartik Aryan whose last release ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ pushed him into the league of A-list actors is getting many exciting projects. Reportedly, he is also playing the lead in the Hindi remake of Kirik Party but things are not that merry for the actor, as they seem to be. Reports are, that Kartik lost an opportunity to work with mega-brand ‘Dharma Productions’. Karan Johar was reportedly considering the 29-year-old actor for a significant part in his rumoured next, which is said to co-star Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor.
Kartik’s team was sent a vague decision of finalizing him but his team went on to make an announcement that he is finalized for the role and this irked the filmmaker Karan Johar. According to Deccan Chronicle’s news, "Dharma sent Kartik feelers regarding a possible role, but it was nothing concrete. His team messed it up by releasing reports that the actor had been signed by Karan Johar when no such thing had happened."
The source associated with Dharma Production reveals that Kartik was demanding a high remuneration which the makers thought was way too much and this also lead to hamper the relation between Kartik and Dharma.
Talking about the untitled project, DNA says: "The makers have roped in Akshay Kumar to play the male lead. The story is about two couples and they were looking for a senior actor opposite Bebo. Akshay was their first choice and he loved the script. He discussed the film with Karan, and the modalities were worked out immediately."
