The India Couture Week is one of the topmost and prestigious fashion shows in the country and they showcase best of best design of the Indian designers. Kangana Ranaut and Aditi Rao Hydari were roped in for the opening of the show for Tarun Tahiliani and Anju Modi respectively.
Wedding fashion has always been one of the most anticipated things on a wedding because it doesn’t only make you look good but it makes you feel good too. It gives you the princess’y feel that you always dreamed of and that is the reason these designers are called the geniuses who bring your dreams into reality.
Tarun Tahiliani
For the opening show by Tarun Tahiliani chose Aditi to walk the ramp as a showstopper. She was dolled up in Swarovski-embellished lehenga with a gossamer veil and we all know about her elegance. But there were many other lehengas by Tarun which was equally stunning to say the least.
Check out these gorgeous pieces of beauty:
Tarun Tahiliani’s collection was titled ‘In Elysium’ which portrays the light and airy wedding dresses yet traditional with majestic silhouettes.
Aditi praised Tahiliani's knack for designs and said "It really makes a huge difference when you have an airy, light and gossamer veil... A bride should be able to get up and dance like a free spirit. They want to enjoy their special day and not be weighed down by kilos (weight of the clothes)."
Anju Modi
Anju Modi drew her inspiration from the Victorian era and chose Kangana Ranaut as the showstopper of the show.
The designer’s collection was named “A Maiden’s Prayer” which is more historically significant.
Through cuts, silhouettes, designs and rich fabrics, it was a vision. She used velvet, silk and brocade in her designs and that made it look even dreamier.
