The ‘Karwaan’ actors Dulquer Salman and Mithila Palkar had a road trip as a part of a promotional strategy for their upcoming movie, which is essentially a road-movie. The two actors were seen having a ball of a time with director Akarsh Khurrana, as they set off for a journey from Mumbai to Lonavla.
Kaarwan is a slice-of-life comedy that revolves around three ‘oddballs’ who are put together under unforeseen circumstances for a road trip they never imagined to take. The film is extensively shot in and around Kerela and looks beautiful (as predicted by the trailer).
Dulquer and Mithila are making their debut in the Hindi film industry with this film. The film also stars the impeccable Irrfan in a pivotal role, he is not a part of the promotional strategies of the film as he is in London, undergoing a treatment to cure neuroendocrine cancer. But, looks like the makers don’t want him to be alone and that is why they arranged a special screening of this special film for him at the Henry Wood House, London.
The director of the film spilled some beans on the movie and told: “The story is very close to my heart. I developed the idea into a story with three main characters. It was quite an interesting process. Since we finished the first draft of the story four years ago, we kept updating the characters with time to keep them relevant. Our dialogue writer Hussain Dalal has done a good job.”
The film releases on 3rd August and fans are excited to see this unconventional drama.
