This saddening news of Sujata Kumar’s death was shared by her sister, Suchitra through Twitter. Sharing the news, Suchitra wrote:
“Our beloved Sujata Kumar has passed away and moved on to a better place leaving us with an umimaginable void. She left us an hour ago at 11.26 pm on the 19th of august 2018..Life can never be the same again...”

Another tweet shared by Suchitra informed that the mortal remains of the actress would be cremated at the Juhu crematorium in Vile Parle on August 20, though she deleted the tweet later.
According to the reports on Spotboye, the ‘English Vinglish’ actress was admitted at Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital. When she was taken to hospital, it was reported she already had multiple organ failure.
When she was cast in ‘English Vinglish’ in 2012, she was extremely happy as she believed that she is a cancer survivor. She was extremely happy that Gauri Shinde thought of casting her in the film. Later she did many TV serials like Hotel Kingston (Star One) and Bombay Talking (Zee Cafe). Not only serials, she did some more Bollywood movies like Karan Johar’s Gori Tere Pyar Mein and Aanand L Rai’s Raanjhanaa in 2013.
We hope that she finds peace at wherever she is.
