Aamir Khan is known as the perfectionist amongst the actors in Bollywood. Now the rumours are strong about Mr. Khan is willing to do remake of this Hollywood classic. I know you are curious too…
A source close to the star revealed in DNA: “He is interested in remaking a Hollywood movie, which was produced by Paramount Pictures. Aamir never spills the beans about his projects till all the details are chalked out. No wonder, he is keeping the name of this film under wraps. It will be revealed only when everything is finalised as talks are currently underway to acquire the rights”.
Mr. Khan and his team are in advanced talks to remake ‘Forest Gump’. Yes, that’s right! They have been in talks with Paramount Pictures for a deal. A source from DNA was quoted saying "Aamir wants to make Forrest Gump in Hindi, which he will star in. He wants to play the lead role that Tom Hanks had essayed in the original. It has been on his wishlist for some time".
The original movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis and Forrest was played by Tom Hanks. This movie is probably that movie everyone holds dear to because of the storyline and also Tom Hanks’ portrayal of the slow-witted but kind-hearted man from Alabama. We would love to see an Indian version of that. After finishing his prior commitments, Aamir will start working on the Hollywood remake.
Currently, the 53-year-old actor is working on ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ along with Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. Helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, this epic is based on the novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’ by Philip Meadows Taylor. The movie is being shot in a huge budget of Rs 210 crore.
