Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt started their journey together from ‘Student of The Year’ and since then they have done 3 movies together in 6 years. Apart from their bonding which is quite visible from their online and offline chemistry. Both the actors have achieved super stardom in this age and they have always maintained that they are each others’ competition.
Since Varun Dhawan is busy these days promoting his upcoming movie ‘Sui Dhaaga’, during an interview, the actor stayed for some chit chat with the media.
During the interview with fimfare, the actor was asked about the best part of working with Alia and he replied, "The best thing is she helps me with my character. She does all the work. She cracks my character. She also gives me references. (Laughs) Until she doesn’t do that, there’s a lot of friction on the sets. Till that doesn’t happen, I’m not happy with her. If she doesn’t act out my scenes, she’s not doing her job as a co-star."
They have always had a great rapport with each other and in these 6 years of their career, it didn’t change a bit. When asked about his equation with the ‘Raazi’ actress, he said, "We’re pretty much the same. As you do more films, the love and respect grow for each other. During Kalank I told Alia, ‘You have become old’. I’ve seen her since she was so small yaar. Even she says that I’ve aged and my beard is growing faster."
Next, Varun was asked what advice Alia gives to him about relationship, to that, he had a funny yet logical answer to it, he said, "She’s the last person I’ll take relationship advice from. One good thing about our friendship is that we don’t discuss those aspects of our lives with each other. Our discussions are around work because both of us are equally driven about our careers. But yes most of the time, we end up making fun of each other."
