Fans are keeping their fingers crossed as Nayanthara’s one of the biggest project ‘Imaikka Nodigal’ is all set to hit the theatres on August 30. Celebrated filmmaker Anurag kashyap is making his acting debut in the Tamil industry with this film. He is playing the role of a psychotic killer in the thriller film.
Recently, at an event Anurag was promoting his film when he was asked , who would he like to direct from South industry and the maverick filmmaker replied – “I want to direct both Dhanush and Vijay Sethupathi together.” It's worth mentioning that Anurag has, in several of his interviews over the years, revealed that he's a huge fan of Dhanush's Aadukalam.
Talking about his character and the film, Anurag looked really thrilled and he said: “What pulled me towards acting in Imaikaa Nodigal is the role. Rudra is not your typical baddie. He doesn't just smoke, drink, order his men around and indulge in item numbers. He is menacing, scary, smart and cunning. This strange mixture that forms the role is what tempted me to take it up although I was tied up with my own projects back in Mumbai. When the audiences watch the movie in theatre, if I'm able to evoke the tiniest of fears in them, as Rudra, I'll consider my work done."
Anurag was last seen in a full-length role in AR Murugadoss's Akira, where he was seen locking horns with Sonakshi Sinha.
