RajKummar Rao is counted amongst the most talented and versatile actors that we have right now in Bollywood. Raj has got some unconventional looks and a guy next door personality, despite all this he has made it big in Bollywood. Rajkummar proved his mettle as an actor with every character that he played. He gives life to every character that he plays.
Today the actor turned 35 and we thought to take a look at his most remarkable movies:

Love, Sex Aur Dhoka
It was directed by Dibakar Banerjee and was the first film that was presented in the found footage style. Rajkummar was playing the character of Adarsh, a greedy boy. Adarsh was a guy who used sex to gain money so that he could pay his debts. This film was very unique and an experiment as well and Raj chose this movie for his debut. That says a lot about his confidence.

Chittagong
Love, Sex Aur Dhoka was a modern age drama and right after this Raj picked a period war film. Raj was playing the character of a freedom fighter in the movie. His role was small but he did a great job.

Kai Po Che
RajKummar got his first major commercial success with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che. The film was based on Chetan Bhagat’s book 3 Mistakes Of My Life. Rajkummar played the role of a geek named Govind Patel. His one true motive in life is to expand his small sports business. Yet another stellar performance by Rajkummar Rao.

Shahid
This was the film that brought Raj’s talent into the limelight. Hansal Mehta’s Shahid was based on the life of a lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi. He was assassinated in 2010 in Mumbai. He also won a National Award for best actor.

Queen
After many intense roles, Raj went on to play the role of a conservative city slicker. He was seen opposite Kangana Ranaut in Queen. While the movie was all about Rani, Vijay in just a few scenes made his character memorable and special.

Citylights
After Shahid, director Hansal Mehta and Raj united again for ‘Citylights’. Critics appreciated Rao’s performance in this movie. Even SRK went ahead to say that he sees Raj as one of the finest actors of this generation and Rao will be a much better star than him in coming years.

Trapped
This film was all about just one character who is trapped in a place. This must have been a very difficult movie as there were no dialogues and Raj was confined in a limited space. The whole movie rested on Raj’s shoulders. And Raj didn’t disappoint anyone. His performance will make you feel uneasy and you will relate to every emotion that he is acting out in the movie.

Bareilly Ki Barfi
This movie proved again that Rao is the most underrated actor in the block. We loved Raj in Ashwini Iyer’s Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Newton
This movie made it clear that the actor is here to stay. Newton was not only appreciated in India but it also won many hearts internationally as well. Newton won Best Film and Filmfare Award for Best Story, Raj also won the Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Actor, and the film was also selected as the Indian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards.

Omerta
Another movie directed by Hansal Mehta. Raj was seen in the role of Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh. It was a biographical crime drama.
